THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL RUDY AWARDS will honor Division I football players who demonstrate exemplary CHARACTER, COURAGE, CONTRIBUTION and COMMITMENT as members of their team.

Three Finalists will be chosen by a Selection Committee and honored on January 12, 2009, at the OpryLand Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.

Each Finalist will be presented with a beautiful award and an academic scholarship, as well as have their travel expenses paid. An overall winner will be chosen and presented with the top scholarship.

The overall Rudy Award winner will receive a $5,000 scholarship, while the two runner-ups will receive $2,500.

Nominees can be any age or year in school (Freshman through Senior) and must have been on the team this past football season.

If the Finalist is currently receiving a full scholarship, or has graduated since the past football season, the award will be made in the player’s name to the general scholarship fund of the school.

Rudy Ruettiger will serve as the master of ceremonies and personally present the awards.
